Ways to Make Money with your PLR

If you already own a resell rights product package of your own or are about to buy one to make a profit from, there are 5 simple things you should do in order to make the most money out of your resell rights package.

Recently over the past five years, resell rights have catapulted onto the scene.

Their popularity owes to the fact that you don't need to create your own product from scratch and you have an existing product that you have permission to alter (depending upon the kind of rights you have) and place your name on it as if you were the author.

You'll find resell rights products cropping up all over the place and no doubt you've downloaded your fair share.

You’ll need to stand out from your competition In order to sell more.

Here are 5 Steps that will outline how you can make money with your resell rights.

1 - Don't Follow the Crowd

People fail to stand out from the crowd and be memorable. You'll notice the same products are promoted the same way and they are cropping up like mushrooms all over the place online.

If people are selling for a dollar the same product you are, sell yours for $15.00 and throw in a complimentary report on how to use the product and how to get the most out of it. Don't do what everyone else does or expect to get the same results.

Test your product before you sell it, it will give you the advantage of answering questions about the product from your customers. Most people haven't even tried or tested what they're selling and you and I know when it comes to customers handing over their hard earned cash, want to check under the hood first. So be different and be original.

2 - Mix Your Content

If you hold the rights to the grand daddy of all coveted rights, the Unrestricted Private Rights Resell License, this means that you have artistic license to do anything you want with the content.

If you have the rights to change your content, then do so.

I've bought several reports and e-books that contain key components of contents that came from an original source, but that showed that the vendor I bought from took the time to change their content and as a result I purchased them as a new and unique product.

Re-edit the content, always change the title to start with, this will give you an idea of the direction you want to take with your altered content. You can make it shorter or longer. Alter the chapters, the table of contents; turn it into mini reports, report giveaways. Use your imagination.

3 - Create Your Packaging

Nothing says new like a facelift and what better way than to breathe new life into your resell product with a brand new graphic or packaging.

The impact a new graphic makes, everyone knows there’s a hot new product on the loose because you’ve never seen the graphic before.

There are several good quality companies out there selling their services as e-packaging designers. These are the talent behind some of the snazziest e-book covers out there on the net.

4 - Change the Format

What better way to make your “same as everyone else’s” resell content as different as possible then by distancing yourself from the usual A4 page sized format.

You’re not restricted to what you can do with your resell rights products anymore. You don’t even have to settle for the written word. Take the content and record it as an MP3, use it as an e-zine podcast where your subscribers can get a chapter each week.

Use it as an MP3 audio recording to sell.

Burn it as a CD and sell it as a physical product, an awesome way to get your prospects snail mail address and to send an extra up-sell along with your CD. People are not as accustomed to offline One Time Offers or up-sells as they are online. Slipping an extra offer at a discounted price is the offline equivalent of your online up-sell. You’ll get great results as it’s not a technique that's been overly used.

5 - Convert to Video

Along the same lines as our audio content, you can also make your text come alive with video.

Web 2.0, or web marketing encourages user based input is very hot right now and will continue to be so, capitalize on this growing new market.

You could create text slides with your voice narrating. Give a Camtasia demonstration on how your product works with your web site URL clearly displayed at the end of your video which will lead viewers straight to your product. Guide people to join your list and sell them relevant offers and up-sells.

So as you can see, there are no limits to what you can do with Private Label Rights products, you just have to think outside the box and you'll have an advantage over the many selling the exact same thing.

Good luck and get to it.
